TODO INSUMOOS
A custom shop demo for an Argentine barber supply distributor: dual cash and instalment pricing, a live combo builder and a wholesale zone with volume tiers.
(01) Overview
TODO INSUMOOS sells clippers, shavers, chairs, lighting and consumables to barbers across Argentina. They had about 26,000 Instagram followers, steady video content and an online store that was down for renovation, so every sale went through a DM answered by hand. Before drawing anything I studied how they actually sell, post by post and video by video, and then designed a working demo to pitch a custom shop, with their real products and prices.

(A) The Challenge
Their way of selling does not fit a standard store template: cash and instalment prices side by side, cheaper units at 10, 30 and 50, bundles as best sellers and videos comparing two clippers. A generic theme shows one price and hides the transfer discount until checkout, right where the buyer decides.
(B) The Approach
- 01
Two prices, always together
Each product card carries cash and instalments side by side, cash large, plus the per-unit price from 10 units as a hook for wholesale buyers.
- 02
Combos the buyer assembles
A combo builder lets the buyer pick clipper, trimmer and accessories while the total and the saving against buying separately update live.
- 03
From the feed to the shop
Their side by side videos become a permanent comparator, and the wholesale zone shows the stepped table with an order calculator. A WhatsApp bar pre-fills whatever product is being viewed.
- 04
Paper and gold, not red
The biggest turn: the brief asked for black and red, and I moved to warm paper, ink blocks and a single gold accent, so the shop reads as a trusted supplier, not another promo post.

(02) Brand & Design System
Warm paper base with white cards, ink blocks for whatever has to carry weight, and gold as the only accent. Inside the dark blocks the palette flips, so every component still works there and the main button turns from ink to gold. As text on paper, gold always uses its deep variant, because the pure tone does not reach enough contrast at small sizes. Anton carries headlines and prices, Archivo subtitles and buttons, Inter the body text. Motion is kept to short fades and shifts, and all of it stops for people who prefer reduced motion.

(03) The Product
A combo builder that shows the saving
Three columns on desktop, a stepper on mobile: one clipper, one trimmer and any accessories. A sticky bar recalculates the total, the six-instalment price and how much the buyer saves against buying each piece on its own, turning their best-selling bundles into something the buyer assembles.
Cash and instalments, always together
The published price is cash or transfer, and the list price and instalments are worked out from it, exactly as their posts already do. Every card also shows the per-unit price from 10 units, so a retail buyer sees the wholesale hook before asking.
Their most watched video, as a tool
VGR V-880 against MRD Smart Brain side by side: type, brand, stock and price from 10 units, each with its own add to cart, plus a shipping calculator by postcode. Content that sank in the feed after three days becomes a page that stays and can be found.
Volume pricing without asking in private
Barbershops and resellers see the stepped table up front, pick a quantity and get unit price, order total and saving. Access with a tax ID is simulated for the demo, along with quick loading by SKU.
A search that speaks like a barber
It opens with the magnifier or Ctrl K and understands a loose model number such as 880, a type such as wireless, or a combo name, the way a barber would type it. A contextual WhatsApp bar sends a pre-written message with whatever the visitor is looking at.
(04) The Outcome
A single-page demo, designed mobile first and checked with no horizontal scroll from 320 px phones up across five breakpoints, plus a living design system page with 14 sections, from the dual price component to motion rules. The footer already carries what Argentine law requires: the withdrawal button, the tax data badge and the consumer protection link. Prices, tiers and shipping costs are marked as provisional until the client confirms them. What used to take a DM and a reply now reads at a glance: what it costs, how to pay it and how much is saved by buying more.
