Reel VOLT X1
The VOLT X1 gaming mouse presented as a weapon on a game's selection screen: an arena lit in the colour of the active RGB profile, stats bars, «choose your skin» and the pre-sale at the end.
(01) Overview
VOLT X1 is a fictional gaming mouse I invented for a pre-sale landing. This reel takes it to social media. Product ads for gamers tend to look alike, a black object on black with a few sparks; the idea here was to borrow the language its buyers already know from the games they play: the screen where you choose your weapon before a match.

(A) The Challenge
The first version carried over the landing's dark studio, chrome figures and HUD. The rework looked for a world of its own and took it from gaming, keeping only a living background, pacing and nothing standing still. The risk flipped: a game menu is full of interface, and the product could not get lost behind it.
(B) The Approach
- 01
An arena in the profile's colour
The mouse sits on a hexagonal platform in an arena of fog, a running neon grid and LED panels, all tinted with the active lighting profile. On top, a game menu whose cuts glitch like a tab changing.
- 02
From hologram to stats
The menu switches on and the mouse materialises from hologram to solid while the camera comes down. Then «Legendary» presents it, and weight, precision, speed and battery fill like a weapon's bars.
- 03
Choose your skin
A burst with one lighting profile per beat: each cut has its own angle, the whole arena changes colour and the profile's name stands huge behind the mouse. The camera always orbits, so the cuts land in mid-movement.
- 04
Equip and reserve
Equip completes: the ring expands, the arena pulses and a giant VOLT stands behind the product as the pre-sale appears at $129 with «Reserve yours».

(02) The Product
From hologram to solid
The menu switches on: the grid starts running, the platform lights its rings and the mouse materialises while it turns, the landing's scan played backwards, as the camera comes down from above.
Specs as a weapon's stats
Weight, precision, speed and battery stop being a spec sheet and become the bars of a game, filling one by one, with the active figure huge on the left and the mouse turning on its platform.
Choose your skin
A burst with one lighting profile per beat. The whole arena changes colour with the mouse, each cut has its own camera angle, and the profile's name stands huge behind the product.
The pre-sale as a reward
Equip completes, the ring expands and the arena pulses. A giant VOLT stands behind the mouse and the price closes the piece with the call to reserve.
(03) The Outcome
A 21-second ad in 16:9, 9:16 and an Instagram cut with my studio's close, cut to a 140 BPM track. It sells the same product as the landing with a different argument: the landing explains why it is good, the reel makes you want to equip it.
