Dashboard reel · iPhone
A 13 second studio reel: a 3D iPhone whose screen is a live dashboard, four screens of multibeep redrawn so every figure counts up, closed by the animated Mystic logo.
(01) Overview
This was my studio's first motion reel, and the piece its later reels grew from. It came out of the case study for multibeep, a telephony operations dashboard I designed: the boards showed the product still, and the brief was a short loop that shows it working. A 3D iPhone 15 Pro Max turns slowly over the Mystic background while its screen moves through four views, home, surveys, calls and usage, each with a short label about what the panel solves.

(A) The Challenge
Screenshots on a phone look like a slideshow. Dashboards sell through their numbers, and numbers only feel alive when they move. The screens had to stay faithful to the real product, read at phone size and loop without a visible seam.
(B) The Approach
- 01
Redrawn to count
The real multibeep mobile screens set the content, but a still image cannot count up. So each of the four screens was redrawn in the product's own design language: the dark background and the blue accent.
- 02
Every number moves
Each screen has its own small choreography: credits fill from zero to 1,240, the NPS donut sweeps to +48, calls count to 3,418, the weekly bars grow one by one.
- 03
A breath, not a cut
Between screens the old one shrinks while the new one fades in slightly larger, as the phone eases into the next pose. The sway and the background aura move in cycles, so the last frame meets the first.
- 04
In Mystic violet
The bright backgrounds of the references were swapped for the Mystic violet, so the piece reads as my studio's. The animated Mystic logo closes it with a short crossfade.

(02) The Product
The real product, not a mock
The content comes from the multibeep mobile screens designed for its case study: home with prepaid credits, surveys, calls and credit usage. The visual references were two app reels with phones floating over flat backgrounds. The reel keeps the product's look and swaps the bright backgrounds for the Mystic violet.
The outro: the logo, animated
On the day the reel started, the Mystic logo animation was rebuilt as a piece of its own: the isotype and the wordmark enter in three seconds over a 115 degree gradient from near black to violet. It was made at 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16, and every Mystic reel since closes with it.
Four screens redrawn to move
Each view was redrawn with staggered entrances, so the eye follows one thing at a time: the credit bar fills, the KPI sparklines draw, the donut sweeps by segment, the highlighted bar shows its value once it lands. Space Grotesk carries the figures and Inter the text, as in the product.
The square loop
Each screen has its own pose: the phone turns a little left or right and zooms from 100 to 112 % as the reel advances. Screens change with a 0.85 second dissolve and micro zoom, and the sway follows the loop, so the 10.3 seconds repeat without a jump. The first shot enters clean, without a dissolve from the last one.
Vertical, with the labels on the phone
In vertical, the phone stays centered and the labels are no longer pinned to the edges of the frame: the top label sits right above the phone and the headline right below it, so the composition reads as one block.
Label, phone and headline as one composition
The final square frame for surveys: the spaced-out label «Encuestas» on top, the phone with the NPS donut at +48 in the middle, and the headline «Tu NPS, en directo» with the key words in violet underneath. One idea per screen, said in four words.
(03) The Outcome
Two cuts of 12.7 seconds, square and vertical: a 10.3 second loop of four screens and the 3 second logo. The scene, the shot list and the pacing became the template for every studio reel that followed, and the logo outro has closed all of them since. The web version is the vertical cut, without sound.
