Fictional brand · personal example/2026
alba
A 29-second vertical spot for «alba», a fictional skincare brand, with its three-step routine designed, lit and animated in 3D.
(01) Overview
alba is not a real brand. It is a personal example built to show what my launch kit delivers: a product reel, posts and an animated logo, ready to announce something new. The spot presents a three-step facial routine (a cleansing gel in a tube, a serum in a dropper bottle and a cream in a jar) and closes with a short bridge and the Mystic call to action. It is the second piece of a series of 3D product spots with fictional brands.

(A) The Challenge
Three different containers had to read as one product line, and each step needed its own colour and gesture so the routine is understood without a voiceover. On top of that, everything is designed so the brand, the colours and the copy can be swapped for a real client's without rethinking the spot.
(B) The Approach
- 01
A family of containers
The containers were drawn as a family: the dropper bottle and the jar share round, turned profiles, and the labels use the brand's own type, a warm serif next to a clean sans.
- 02
Written on the beat
The edit follows an 82 BPM track: the ring of tubes plays over the soft intro, the tube rises when the rhythm comes in, and steps 1 and 3 start on the strong accents.
- 03
Clean, but flat
The first full pass put a flat white disc behind each product and kept the liquids pale. The frames looked clean, but they had no life.
- 04
Glow, colour and gesture
The second pass swapped the disc for a warm glow, turned the serum amber so the drop reads and sharpened each gesture: the tube bounces between bubbles, the dropper lets a drop fall, the jar's lid unscrews.

(02) The Product
First pass: the structure works, the light is flat
The full timeline in place: the ring of tubes around the logo, the typed headline and three numbered steps, each with its own background colour. A white disc sat behind every product and the liquids were almost colourless, so the frames read as clean but lifeless.
Second pass: glow, colour and gesture
The disc became a soft warm glow, the serum turned amber so the falling drop reads, the jar went to a deeper lavender and each step got a clearer action. The closing shot puts the three containers together on a turning base with a real shadow.
The full routine and the bridge to Mystic
The routine photo lands on the beat, then the dropper moves into Mystic's dark world for the line «a reel like this, for your brand» and the call to action. The same dropper carries the change of world, so the spot and my studio's close feel like one piece.
After delivery: how far the materials can go
A single still with the same tube standing in a pool of gel, a ribbon of gel wrapping it, lemon slices, strawberries and mint. From left to right, four steps of finish: the quick look the spot uses, then deeper, more transparent gel, juicier fruit and softer light, up to an almost photographic frame.
(03) The Outcome
A 29.3-second vertical reel: a ring of ten tubes around the logo, the routine in three numbered steps, the full routine on a turning base, and the Mystic close. The routine is understood without a word of voiceover, each product owns its colour and gesture, and the brand, products, colours and copy can be changed for a real client while the spot stays the same. The materials study showed that the same scene can go from the quick, clean look of the spot to a premium, almost photographic finish when a client needs it.
