AurenStore/2026
AurenStore
A custom Shopify theme designed from scratch for a multi-category home store, where each collection gets its own identity inside one coherent brand.
(01) Overview
AurenStore sells across several worlds at once: tech, home and decor, cleaning, kitchen and beauty, shipping across Spain. Instead of bending a stock theme, I designed a custom theme around the brand, kept the checkout and the buying flow customers already know, and delivered the brand board that goes with it. The store is live at aurenstoreds.com.

(A) The Challenge
Someone looking for a kitchen tool and someone buying skincare do not expect the same shop, yet both land on the same store. The brief: five categories that each feel like their own shop, inside one brand that never falls apart, and a system the owner could grow alone.
(B) The Approach
- 01
Eighteen concepts first
I started with the brand. Three rounds of isotype exploration, from the golden ratio to negative space, produced eighteen concepts tested on light, dark and small sizes.
- 02
Keeping the house with a cart
After all that exploration, the decision was to keep the logo the store already had, a house with a cart, and rebuild it cleanly with two icon levels.
- 03
One base, five personalities
A shared base holds the Auren identity in green, sage, sand and cream. Each collection adds its own personality on top: heading typeface, button shape, card look and badges.
- 04
Pages from familiar pieces
Pages are composed from one library of sections, so a new layout is a new arrangement of familiar pieces, and anything new joins the library for everyone.

(02) Brand & Design System
Auren green as the base, sage and sand as secondary tones, cream as the background. Each collection adds one accent and tints the simplified icon in it: blue for tech, sand for home, teal for clean, olive for kitchen and coral for beauty. Josefin Sans carries the wordmark, with Playfair Display and Outfit available as headline voices for the collections that ask for them.

(03) The Product
Same components, a different shop per collection
Home, cleaning, kitchen and beauty share every component and change only their personality: background, accent, heading typeface, button shape and card look. Each world feels right for its buyer, and the brand still holds them together.
A product landing composed from the library
The fan page stacks pieces from the library: gallery, offer price with a discount chip, feature rows, marquees, an offer close and an FAQ, in its own black and yellow. The buyer finishes in the store's usual checkout, with a cash on delivery form on top for those who prefer to pay on arrival.
The existing logo, rebuilt in vector
A house outline with a window and a cart carrying a sage jar, a sand box with a heart and a leaf, and the AUREN STORE wordmark in Josefin Sans. Two icon levels: the full version from 48 px up, and a one-colour simplified version for favicons, watermarks and tinting per collection.
Eighteen concepts before deciding
Three rounds of isotype concepts: a golden ratio series, a series on gold as the root of the name, and a round on negative space. Each was tested on light, dark, avatar, gold and small sizes. The decision was to keep and adapt the logo the store already had.
(04) The Outcome
A theme with a library of 29 reusable sections and five collections that read as their own shops: home, cleaning, kitchen, beauty and tech, all unmistakably Auren. Adding a category is three steps for the owner: create the collection, choose its identity and, if needed, start from an existing page; nothing has to be redesigned. On top of the library I composed an offer landing for a single product, with marquees, an offer card and an FAQ, and a cash on delivery form styled with the page palette. Every page went through a dedicated round of mobile refinements.
