Astroclara
A phone-consultation platform for astrology, tarot and clairvoyance: public site with the client account built in, professional portal, back office and teleoperator desk under one warm identity.
(01) Overview
Astroclara connects people with astrology, tarot and clairvoyance experts through phone consultations: three free minutes and fifteen at a special price with each expert, then per-minute billing from 1.10 €. I designed the complete product as a clickable prototype, shaped over twelve review rounds with the client's team: the public site with the client account built in, SMS access, a public application flow for professionals, their portal, the back office and a desk for the teleoperators who route calls.

(A) The Challenge
The esoteric vertical is saturated with sites that look untrustworthy. Astroclara needed the opposite: a calm interface that earns enough trust to leave a phone number and a card, while handling minute balances, paid recordings, dynamic rankings, anonymous calls and a sponsored spot that must never pass for merit.
(B) The Approach
- 01
Calm instead of dark skies
Where the genre leans on dark skies and loud promises, the answer to the trust problem was calm: daylight tones, soft paper surfaces and generous spacing, on a warm cream canvas with amber for action.
- 02
Symbols drawn by hand
The trade's symbols, from tarot to the birth chart, and the twelve zodiac signs were drawn by hand on the same grid as the interface icons, because emoji looked different on every system.
- 03
The account inside the site
The client account lives inside the public site as tabs, so buying minutes or replaying a recording never feels like leaving for a separate app.
- 04
Every state on the table
Every view was designed with its states, modals and menus, so the client's team could review each one across twelve rounds.

(02) Brand & Design System
One warm identity holds five areas together: cream surfaces with amber for action and gold for the brand, orange for the key word of each heading, violet as a secondary accent and semantic colours reserved for states. Fraunces carries display and figures, Nunito Sans the interface. A clean line icon set covers the interface and a hand-drawn family of nineteen symbols covers the trade, drawn to the same stroke and grid so both read as one voice, all specified in a living design-system page.

(03) The Product
Let the universe choose
'Surprise me' left its modal to become a section of the home and the listing: three steps (consultation type, horoscope, sex) and the system picks an available expert at random, turning indecision into the product's signature ritual.
Rankings with an honest ad slot
Six rankings (most consulted, best rated, repeat rate, newcomer, empathy certificate and by niche) with live availability, price per minute and a call or booking button. Fourth place can be bought for 10 € a day, always labelled as advertising and never altering the real order.
Trust before the first call
Video introduction, a pulsing 'Available now' pill, response time, verified reviews and years on the platform, a secure and anonymous payment seal next to the call button, and a compatibility block that stays locked until the client signs in.
Free for a day, then 0.99 €
Each consultation, its call and its recording live in one card. Recordings are free for 24 hours, then unlock with a one-off payment by card or one minute of balance, and every download uses a private link that expires after five minutes.
A work console that never shows a number
Professionals see calls by identifier only, their state as the switchboard reports it, clients waiting for them to connect and the time since their last invoice. Rates, profile changes and the paid home spot are handled from the same portal.
A desk for calls that come in by phone
An anonymous queue shows which expert each caller asked for. The teleoperator charges the card, offers the welcome pack and reconnects the call; if the caller hangs up before paying, the form disables itself, and nuisance callers can be blocked by identifier.
(04) The Outcome
Fifty-six templates and sixty-nine views across five areas, consistent down to the last modal. The review rounds reshaped the product along the way: 'Surprise me', for one, grew from a modal into a section of its own on the home and the listing. Clients manage minutes, recordings and availability alerts from tabs inside the public site; professionals only reach their portal after approval; the back office reviews applicants, profile changes, payouts, reviews and referral minutes; teleoperators charge and reconnect calls from an anonymous queue. Every flow that accepts terms uses an explicit checkbox, every switch is accessible by keyboard and screen reader, and tables turn into cards below 700 px.
