Mystic Studios · studio reel/2026
Tu catálogo, online
A 25.4 second vertical reel for my studio's online catalogue service: seven shops and catalogues I built, shown in 3D. A first draft of the piece.
(01) Overview
Mystic builds online shops and catalogues for makers, distributors and small brands, sold as the Online Catalogue kit: prices and stock always current, orders through the site or WhatsApp, a manager the owner runs alone, delivered on the client's domain. The reel shows seven of them: Mi Garage Artesanal (haberdashery and craft supplies), a clothing catalogue template, TODO INSUMOOS (barber supplies), Marina Díaz (handmade baby textiles), Aylan (consoles and video games), Ricardo Pszegotski (real estate) and Cabañas Pinar Alto (cabins with online booking).

(A) The Challenge
A catalogue is sold by its products, not by its layout, so the reel had to put the photos first and still show a working shop on a phone. And seven shops that look nothing alike, from craft supplies to real estate, had to read as one series.
(B) The Approach
- 01
The photos as they are
Each shop gave up to six product photos, cropped as they appear in its catalogue, with their corners and framing. Seven shops, 42 photos.
- 02
A rain, a deck, a row
Three scenes staged in 3D: the photos raining on a plane that tilts and falls away, a deck of homepages that passes one shop at a time, and a row of seven phones the camera tracks.
- 03
The promise, not the problem
The first test borrowed the service's headline from the catalogue, «Vendé sin depender del PDF ni de Instagram». In v2 it became the kit's promise, «Precios y stock, siempre al día», shorter and closer to what the deck shows.
- 04
Two beats per shop
At 1.2 s per shop the deck did not read, and at 1.7 s it dragged: two beats, 1.4 s, worked. The deck enters with the first kick of a relaxed 85 BPM lounge track.

(02) The Product
Six product photos from each shop
From each catalogue I picked the medium, roughly square product images and kept them as they look on the page, with their corners and framing. Stacked images, a carousel or the photo that appears on hover, count once. Seven shops, 42 photos.
First test: the right scenes, the wrong headline
The first frame test already had the three scenes. The deck carried the service's headline from the catalogue, «Vendé sin depender del PDF ni de Instagram»: true, but long, and it talked about the problem while the screen was showing the solution.
A rain of products on a falling plane
The opening: every product photo on one plane that starts close and straight, tilts to the right (the opposite of the landing reel's wall), pulls back and finally falls away, under the hook «Tu catálogo, online».
A deck that gives each shop two beats
The homepages stack, each one higher, farther and dimmer; the front one scrolls, then flies up turning toward the camera. At 1.2 s per shop it did not read and at 1.7 s it dragged: two beats, 1.4 s, stayed. The headline changed to «Precios y stock, siempre al día».
A row of phones the camera tracks
One phone per shop with its catalogue: each page starts at the top, waits a moment and scrolls down while the camera travels the row end to end in ten beats, no hurry, under «Pedidos por la web o por WhatsApp».
(03) The Outcome
A first draft of the B2 reel: 25.4 seconds in 9:16, in four parts, rain, deck, phones and closing, with three lines (your catalogue, online; prices and stock, always current; orders through the site or WhatsApp) and a closing question with a WhatsApp button. Like the landing reel, it has room to take in new shops as they are built.
